This hsqldb datasource description is an alternative for the default jboss datasource description for DefaultDS. Because of a security issue, with HSQLDB TCP/IP ports, the default installation cannot have hsqldb with TCP/IP ports enabled. To open up the hypersonic TCP/IP ports (AND INTRODUCING A SECURITY VULNERABILITY), overwrite the hsqldb-ds.xml in your deploy directory in your jboss server configuraton.
