With meta-backup you can store installed program data and repository info in a tiny deb meta package. The backup files can be used to install the same set of packages on different computers. Meta-backup is not a full system backup solution but it only stores a list of programs and if you like also repository info but that's it. Creating a backup is as simple as typing meta-backup in a terminal and your backup will be ready in just a few seconds. This version also supports distribution upgrades.
